Emerson House was proud to be a participant in Southeast Portland’s ARTWalk — a very popular annual event that takes place in our Division/Clinton neighborhood. The event came together thanks to a great team effort by Emerson House staff who collected artwork for the show and transformed our front lobby and conference room into a gorgeous gallery space.
Our art show featured resident artwork that was done as part of an art therapy program with Geezer Gallery, art that two of our residents had created earlier in their lives, and the artwork of Emerson House staff, families and friends.
Over 100 people attended our weekend art show and Friday artist’s reception. We also raised over $150 for the Oregon Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association through the sale of the beautiful boxes pictured below.
